Harry Robson in Tolmers Village, c. 1975
Harry died in the early 1980s. He was rehoused in Kentish Town at first, well before the final evictions in 1979, but was never happy there. They moved him to Robert Street later, and Paul Nicholson used to visit him most weeks after he had gone back to the Bartlett (as it had become), doing some shopping for him and trying to keep the place a tad cleaner than Harry was managing. His health had deteriorated significantly, chronic bronchitis, and he didn’t move much from his chair. On Paul’s last visit it was obvious Harry was in a very bad way and Paul called an emergency doctor. By the time the doctor got there Harry was gone.Paul went to his funeral at Islington and St. Pancras Cemetery – just Paul and the clergyman.
