PANEL TEXT
What redevelopment means
‘I don’t see any place for me there’ …Mr Shah, a local resident and shopkeeper.
What will a new development look like ????
We all talk about the area on the other side of Hampstead Road. We know that under the Euston Centre there was once a street market and that the Regents Park Estate is a vast inhuman hotchpotch of depressing buildings.
All this will disappear.
Most of the area will be destroyed
The community will be disrupted
Comprehensive redevelopment will be very costly.
Rents will be high
Small shopkeepers, workshops and family businesses will be forced out of business.
The variety and character of the area will disappear.
Do you want this?
