Tolmers Village Association exhibition panel, 1974
PANEL TEXT
Whose streets? (2)
Tolmers Village has been hit by planning blight,
There are no trees in our streets, no seats in the sun for old people, no litter bins.
Because of grandiose redevelopment schemes our area has been allowed to run down.
Our streets could be like this.
The TVA demands that the Council carry our immediate improvements of the kind already seen in other parts of the Borough.
Tolmers Village is used as a main access route to Euston Station by taxis, cars and lorries.
Local people have to suffer noise, fumes and danger from traffic serving a major national railway terminus.
Our streets could be free from through traffic.
The TVA demands that the Council closes some streets so as to reroute this traffic.
