Rod Smith moved from Oxford to 12 Tolmers Square in 1975 where he lived for two years with Jamie Gough, Cora Pearlman, Sacha Craddock and Colin Ferguson.
At the time he was studying for a degree in music, then a diploma in teaching.
In 1977, after following a course of teaching English as a foreign language Rod moved to the Middle East and later to Spain where he lived in Madrid, Seville and Granada.
In Spain he married Blanca and they had two children, Harold and Charlotte.
The family moved to Paraguay then Toronto.
Rod now lives in Nova Scotia where he conducts examinations for St Mary’s University Language Centre in Halifax.
Instead I went on a ‘teaching English as a foreign language ‘ course so I could travel the world.
