1972 Tolmers Square becomes prominent in the press as a property development hotspot.
1973Tolmer Cinema closed and demolished. Squatters start moving into empty houses. Tolmers Village Association formed. Occupied house collapses.
1974Vacant land in Drummond Street occupied for a community garden. Fencing around former cinema site taken down. First Tolmers carnival.
1975Anti eviction campaign by squatters. High Court action by developer to evict squatters fails.
1976Camden Council buys land from developer.
1977Temporary landscaping in Tolmers Square by Camden Council.
1978
1979Eviction of south side of Tolmers Square and all remaining other squats in the area. Last Tolmers carnival. Eviction of north side of Tolmers Square.
1982Formal opening of the new Tolmers development by local MP Frank Dobson.
2019Further demolition starts in the area due to HS2 high speed rail project terminating at Euston.
2021Launch of Tolmers.net
